Silk Road Review: A Literary Crossroads publishes vibrant, well-crafted fiction, essays, poetry, one-act plays, translations, and art that explore human dynamics and social transformation that occur in any story-rich location in the world.
We are delighted to share that Silk Road Review: A Literary Crossroads is now a paying literary magazine. Contributors will receive $10/page for written work for a maximum of $250 per published piece and $30 for each piece of artwork.
Submissions should be sent via the online submission system as .doc or .docx file in 12 point Times New Roman, double-spaced, with one inch margins. The author's name, address, email address, and phone number must be printed on the first page. Please number each page. Any alterations to the submission should be sent through Submittable.
Here are the further specifications by genre: Fiction (Up to 20 pages), Nonfiction (Up to 20 pages), Poetry (Up to 5 per submission document), Translations (Inclusion of original encouraged), First Chapters (Up to 15 pages), Artwork (Up to 5 per submission document), One Act Plays (Up to 20 pages)
Our new reading period is from September 1st-December 1st and February 1st-May 1st. Any submissions sent to us outside of our reading periods will be disregarded until the next reading period.
