We all start somewhere, so "place" is the touchstone the magazine uses for the pieces we publish. However we operate with no narrow definition of that word. The writers we feature take our readers somewhere crucial, defining and relevant.
Submissions should be sent via the online submission system as .doc file in 12 point Times New Roman, double-spaced, with one inch margins. The author's name, address, email address, and phone number must be printed on the first page. Please number each page.
Our new reading period is from August 15th to November 15th and January 15th to April 15th. Any submissions sent to us outside of our reading periods will be disregarded.
Many thanks to all of you for sending along your work! Our journal thrives because of the art you put into the world, and we are grateful for your submissions and interest in Silk Road!
